Run player rehab, injury prevention and matchday medical cover for a NECL state team.

About the role

You'll join a team's medical unit for the full season — pre-season screening, daily rehab, matchday coverage, return-to-play decisions. Our medical philosophy is player-first: no player returns before they're ready, no matter the fixture.

  • Daily treatment and rehab sessions.
  • Matchday touchline cover in coordination with the venue medical team.
  • Return-to-play decisions in collaboration with the team doctor and coach.
  • Maintain digital player medical records per NECL data protocol.
  • Contribute anonymised season data to the NECL injury audit.

Requirements

  • MPT (Sports) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
  • 3+ years working with a professional football, cricket or hockey team.
  • BLS / advanced first-aid certification, current.
  • Willingness to travel with the team throughout the season.
  • Registered with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine.
  • Experience with GPS/performance data platforms (Catapult, StatSports).
  • Prior work at a professional football club in India or abroad.

Location

Multi-state — assigned to a team or matchday pool

  • Assigned to a state team hub or to the central NECL matchday medical pool.
  • Team-attached physios travel with the squad for all away fixtures.
  • Accommodation and per-diem covered on the road throughout the season.
  • Return to home base between fixture windows during the group stage.

Benefits

Role-specific

  • Fully equipped team medical room and matchday kit.

  • Domestic travel and stay covered for on-ground work
