About the role
You'll join a team's medical unit for the full season — pre-season screening, daily rehab, matchday coverage, return-to-play decisions. Our medical philosophy is player-first: no player returns before they're ready, no matter the fixture.
Responsibilities
- Pre-season musculoskeletal screening for all squad players.
- Daily treatment and rehab sessions.
- Matchday touchline cover in coordination with the venue medical team.
- Return-to-play decisions in collaboration with the team doctor and coach.
- Maintain digital player medical records per NECL data protocol.
- Contribute anonymised season data to the NECL injury audit.
Requirements
- MPT (Sports) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- 3+ years working with a professional football, cricket or hockey team.
- BLS / advanced first-aid certification, current.
- Willingness to travel with the team throughout the season.
- Registered with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
Preferred Qualifications
- FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine.
- Experience with GPS/performance data platforms (Catapult, StatSports).
- Prior work at a professional football club in India or abroad.
Location
Multi-state — assigned to a team or matchday pool
- Assigned to a state team hub or to the central NECL matchday medical pool.
- Team-attached physios travel with the squad for all away fixtures.
- Accommodation and per-diem covered on the road throughout the season.
- Return to home base between fixture windows during the group stage.
