About the role
You'll open the doors for NECL's biggest commercial partners — title, presenting, category and regional sponsors. You'll pitch, negotiate and steward multi-year deals.
You know that a great sponsorship is a partnership, not a logo placement — and you're excited to build that from a clean slate.
Responsibilities
- Build and run the NECL sponsorship pipeline across title, category and regional tiers.
- Own the sponsorship deck, sales collateral and pricing framework.
- Negotiate and close multi-year partnership contracts.
- Work with Marketing and Media to deliver committed sponsor value each season.
- Report weekly to the CCO on pipeline, forecast and closed revenue.
Requirements
- 6+ years in sports rights sales, sponsorship or partnerships.
- Track record of closing sponsorship deals of ₹1 Cr+ TCV.
- Existing relationships with brand-side marketing leaders in India.
- Fluent, confident presenter and negotiator.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work with an IPL / ISL franchise, league or global sports agency.
- Working relationships in the North-East industrial and consumer brand ecosystem.
- MBA or equivalent commercial background.
Location
Guwahati / Remote (India)
- Base of choice: NECL Guwahati office or remote in a major Indian metro.
- Frequent travel to Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru for brand-side meetings.
- Attendance required at all NECL playoff and final week hospitality.
- Company-paid annual sports business conference of your choice.
