About the role
NECL should sound and feel unmistakable — cinematic, confident, and unapologetically North-East. You'll build that voice from post one.
You'll set the content calendar, own the tone, and run day-to-day publishing across every platform we play on. You'll ship fast, react to matchday moments in real time, and know exactly when to slow down for a hero drop.
Responsibilities
- Set and publish the weekly content calendar across all NECL channels.
- Run matchday live posting — line-ups, goals, moments, full-time graphics.
- Brief and review designers, editors and photographers on daily deliverables.
- Grow community — replies, DMs, fan features, creator collabs.
- Report weekly on reach, growth, engagement and campaign performance.
Requirements
- 4+ years running social for a serious brand with a distinctive voice.
- Deep working fluency in Instagram, X, YouTube Shorts and TikTok mechanics.
- Strong copywriting in English; comfortable briefing in Hindi.
- Comfort with live matchday tempo across weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior in-house work at a football club, league or sports federation.
- Working knowledge of Figma, CapCut and Premiere for quick edits.
- Fluency in a regional North-East language.
Location
Guwahati / Remote (India)
- Base of choice: NECL Guwahati office or remote from anywhere in India.
- On-site attendance required for launch week, playoffs and the final.
- Matchday coverage runs on weekend evenings across the season.
- Quarterly team offsite in Guwahati for planning and content sprints.
